Lil' Cowboy {Tiny Treasure - 3 Year Bday Portraits}

I typically don't post this many images from a Bday session, but I couldn't resist! There are too many fun images to choose from! This lil' man is ALL about being a cowboy! So for his 3rd Birthday Mom asked if we could do a session out with their new horse. I'm not gonna lie, I love horses, but I was a little nervous about not spooking her with my camera. Baby Elle {Baby's First Year - 3 month Session}

Such a sweet baby, this little girl is! It always amazes me how fast time goes by! I first met Baby Elle in her mommy's tummy for Jayme's maternity session, then at her newborn session. 3 months have since FLOWN by and she's no longer that little newborn! I abosutely LOVE my Tiny Toes {Baby's First Year} sessions! It's an absolute blast to walk with the family's during their little one's first year of life and on! Enjoy her sneak peek!

Baby Emery {Baby's First Year - 6month Session}

I just love this little munchkin! Not only is she absolutely adorable, she's also family! I had the fun opportunity of photographing my cousin's beautiful baby girl when she was just a few days old... and now she is 6 months! It goes by SOOOOOOOOO fast! One of the things I absolutely love with our Baby's First Year Collection is that it allows mommy & daddy see how fast their precious little one grows and changes in their first year. I had the fun opportunity of driving down to Vancouver, WA {Portland, OR area} for Baby Jaeden's newborn session. This little 5-day slept during his entire session and did such a fabulous job! Not to mention what a cutie he is!!! Congrats to the new mommy & daddy!!! He's beautiful!

Baby Kyleigh {Baby's First Year - 6mo Session}

Bob's Corn {Pumpkin Pickin}

Today we ventured over to Bob's Corn to do a little pumpkin pickin'. The farm is approximately 10 miles east on Hwy 522 from Woodinville, WA off of Fales Road in Snohomish. It is an awesome place to take kids to pick out their pumpkin and also enjoy a free hay ride or have a little fun in their 10 acre corn maze. Bob's Corn also has a really cute country store where you can purchase fresh farm produce and other goodies. We really enjoy heading out there and now have a new fun family tradition for picking pumpkins! {support your local farmers}

Breast Cancer Awareness Month {Seattle Eastside Lifestyle Photographer}

A year ago, September, Sue received news that no woman wants to hear, "You have breast cancer. " And thus began a year of fighting. Fighting to stay alive, fighting to keep the many rounds of chemo and radiation from killing her, fighting to win this battle. And one month ago Sue received great news. She is cancer free! We talked a lot about the experiences she had this past year and the drastic life changes she has made to her diet. We also talked about an emotional moment she had while holding the sign for the Relay for Life Fundraiser this past spring. Next to her was the youngest cancer survivor at the Monroe Relay for Life to walk downing her purple survivor shirt and binky. At 8 weeks old this baby girl was diagnosed with liver cancer and endured many rounds of chemo. Now, at a very healthy 12 months she sat comfortably in her Grandpa's arms next to Sue as they lead the walk for cancer survivors. Sue has fought hard this past year. But sadly, many will continue to fight. As someone who has witnessed friends and loved ones fight this disease, it is easy to feel helpless at times not knowing what to do. But one area that you can help is by giving back financially to help find a cure for cancer. We, at Michelle Newell Photography, are giving back to find a cure. 10% of all proceeds are given back to the St. Jude Children's Hospital to help find a cure and we hope you will join the fight as well. Cheers.

I first met Taye a few months after he and his sister were adopted by an amazing family from Ethiopia 2 years ago. I cannot believe how much he has changed since his arrival. First, let me say, THANK YOU GOD for the awesome weather on Kima & Jeanette's day! When Jerry and I were driving to Mars Hill West Seattle Campus I was THRILLED to see the sky opening up and providing a beautiful backdrop of blue. Don't get me wrong, I had an absolute blast photographing Todd & Jenn's wedding in the rain, but when I can get blue sky, I'm a happy camper! Jeanette looked absolutely beautiful and was totally beaming when we arrived. Mars Hill did such an incredible job renovating this building. Wow! 6 months old already! I met this cutie pie when he was a few days old. Well, technically I met him when he was still in his mommy's tummy for her maternity session. I absolutely LOVE our Tiny Toes {Baby's First Year} Package because it is just way too much fun to watch these adorable little people grow, which they do, TOO FAST! I'm sure every mom out there would agree with me. =) Plus, I love connecting and building new friendships with the families that I meet and hearing how things are going during the first year. I can not believe how FAST this summer has gone by! It feels like it was just spring and now we are headed into fall. Definitely one of my favorite times of the year, but I am not really feeling ready for it this year. I have been brainstorming lately on how to make our Sneak Peek/Blog page more personable so that I can hear from all of YOU! =) I love to connect with future clients over Facebook, however we are wanting to improve our Sneak Peek page to be more interactive. It will give me an opportunity to share more about the photog business side of things as well as open new doors for you to learn about me. This sweet couple traveled up from the Portland, OR area to have me photograph this incredible road to parenthood that they are on. I have known the daddy-to-be for years and had the privelege of photographing his brother's little over a year ago. So when the beautiful mommy-to-be, Anna asked me to document this amazing journey, I was thrilled and couldn't wait! We shot their maternity session at Kirkland's Juanity Bay Park. There are SO many incredible backdrops at this park but one of my favorite images was when I layed on my back and pointed my camera up to the sky using the sunlight to show off Anna's baby bump. August 14th was a very special wedding for me. Not only did I get to watch my beautiful cousin, Brianna, marry the man that she loves, but I was given the great honor of photographing her day. I only choked up once during the ceremony {which, if you know me, is amazing!} During the vows Brianna started to tear up and it got me. It's a BEAUTIFUL wedding venue with over 1100 blueberry bushes and restored barns. PERFECT place for a wedding! And the day and weather could not have been more perfect. I absolutely LOVE photographing newborns. They are so precious and itty-bitty and beautifully and wonderfully made! LOVE them! Today, I had the honor of photographing this beautiful 11-day old, baby Elle. I was a little ambitious with choosing which props I wanted to use for her shoot. Probably had a good 10 props ready and rearing to go! However, Elle had a different plan and chose some GREAT props that she finally cozied up to. She was GREAT fun! Could have held and stared at her for hours. CONGRATULATIONS Ben & Jayme on the birth of your beautiful baby girl!
