I am VERY excited about photographing this couple's wedding this summer because the bride is my lovely cousin, Brianna. I always feel very honored when anyone asks me to photograph them, especially weddings, and when Brianna asked me to photograph her wedding I got SUPER excited and can't wait. We met last week to go over their photography options and grabbed a couple quick photos in our home studio for their Save the Date cards. We will be going back out for their full engagement shoot this spring. Can't wait! Congratulations Kevin & Brianna!!

My parents were up visiting this last weekend... And while they were here, I decided to do a little impromptu photo shoot with them since it has been so long since they last had their photos taken professionally. So outdoors we went! The weather was AWESOME! Brooklynn even got in on the action with Grammy and Grandpa. Too cute!

I love my little girl, Brooklynn and I absolutely love watching her discover new things. The other day we were outside together and I started watching her lips and couldn't resist capturing them. My Tiny Treasure

This is my tiny treasure, Brooklynn. Yesterday we took her to the park for her first ride, ever, in a swing... and she had a BLAST! I loved capturing her true essence and hearing her giggle as we pushed her a little higher. I know she'll be one of those kids that says, "HIGHER MOMMY! HIGHER!!" Thank you weather! Today ended up being a GREAT day for Katherine and Shawn's maternity shoot. We ventured outside for a bit with their cute dog, Daisey, and then finished their session in our home studio. This sweet couple is expecting their first baby, a boy, towards the end of February. Meet Kaleb, this adorable 10-day old. He did SO great today during his first photo shoot. Only poop'd and pee'd on his daddy and slept for the majority of the shoot. Congratulations to Brian and Jamie!! He's a doll!!

It's so great to meet new people in our community. There's something very special about living in a smaller town. I had the fun privilege of meeting the Snyder family and taking their FIRST EVER family portraits! We had a blast! They have an adorable 5 year old daughter and cute 2 year old son. As most parents know, children won't always cooperate with you when you want them to... and it's easy to get nervous when it's "picture time." The great thing to remember is that kids look their best when they are having fun and not forcing a smile. So towards the end of the shoot we had some fun capturing their son just being his authentic self. He's adorable and I LOVE what we captured! Here's a sneak peek. Enjoy!

The first day of December could not have been more perfect for Chris and Michelle's engagement shoot. It was cold, crisp, and clear... and did I mention, perfect? We shot down at the Sammamish Lake Park, which was beautiful. One thing that I love about engagement sessions is that they are intimate, just me and the couple. We get a chance to get to know each other before the BIG DAY. Chris and Michelle's big day is coming up in February of 2010. I can't wait! We're going to have a blast. Our good friends, Todd and Kim Arrambide, own a BEAUTIFUL 15 acre farm just minutes from Downtown Monroe. It's a hidden oasis with beautiful barns and gorgeous grounds for all types of events. We even had the privilige of shooting Michael and Angela's wedding in late September out at Blueberry Ridge Farm, which was AWESOME!
