YOU GUYS!!! Tonight is the FINAL episode of Downton Abbey!!!
You're probably thinking, "What does this have to do with your photography?" ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! :) Haha! But, it's been a show I have really enjoyed watching and have been inspired by creatively. Plus, I'm a little bummed it is coming to an end, though, I know it needs to since the show has spanned almost 15 years without the actors or actresses looking older. Haha!
I wasn't sure I would like the final season too. What could Julian Fellowes keep Season 6 interesting. But low and behold. He does! And I absolutely LOVED the twist he did with Edith "possibly" ranking hire than Mary IF she ends up marrying Bertie Pelham. I mean seriously, after Mary married Matthew, she became likeable... but after he died, she just became plain mean again. Marry and I have a like/dislike relationship. One episode we're friends. And then BAM! I don't like her again. LOL :) Aaaaah television! Should be fun to find out what happens tonight! Hehe.
Not sure about you, but I absolutely love movies and shows that are set in "old world" time periods. I find each era so fascinating. Whether it be Elizabethan or Edwardian etc... they are truly fascinating. Two of my favorite movies are Elizabeth & Elizabeth The Golden Age staring Cate Blanchett. From the costumes to how the film is shot, it is absolutely eye candy. Definitely MUST SEES!
Last summer I drew inspiration from the 1920's for a fun "Flapper" creative photo shoot. I had so much fun doing Jordan's hair and makeup along with stylizing the shoot. To create something completely outside of my "normal" genre of sessions is invigorating and freeing. It reminds me to be creative. To play. To experiment with the artistry of photography.
Well, I hope you have been having a lovely weekend and will grab a cozy blanket, cup of tea, and enjoy the final episode of Downton Abbey! I know I will!
